postponed trip

We're supposed to go to Indiana this evening to visit my mother-in-law but Paul cancelled it. The reason, everybody is sick with the flu up there. It would have been nice to go back there and visit Paul's relatives. We haven't gone up to visit eversince we moved down to the south. I only lived there for barely 2 months and to be honest, I missed the place. I like our place there, it was a little house with fenced-in yard in the country. It was so quite too. The problems were, I complained constantly about being cold, and we have to drive for an hour minimum to go anywhere.

I guess we'll just wait until everybody's well and then make another plan. As much as we want to meet everybody and we want them to see Joseph, it's not enough to risk our son and us to get sick too.

ways to sleep

Now that Joseph can manage his body movements a lot better, it's hard to get him to sleep. He doesn't want to be rocked, singing doesn't help much, and dancing is a no-no. The problem really is that he wants to sleep on his own, provided he has a bottle on his mouth. Sure, no problem to me. In fact mommy likes it too because he is getting independent at such a young age and I also get to do stuff that has to be done . The catch is, he wants his bottle and he wants to sleep in his tummy, all at the same time. No compromise there. Doing those at the same time is like doing acrobatics. Both of us get frustrated actually. I want to help but he'll only get grumpy but if I won't interfere he still gets grumpy.
